Fourth of July is one of my favorite holidays, but definitely one that is hard to celebrate with kids. When bedtime is 7 or 8, fireworks are always going to be going off too late. Here are my favorite ways to celebrate:
Nashua
Nashua hosts 4th of July at Holman Stadium (not affiliate). You can enjoy a Silver Knights game (always!) at 11 am (free for kids and first 500 adults), and stick around until fireworks at 8:30ish. They have a live band at 5:30 and the Spartans play during the fireworks. It’s an amazing experience, but man, is it a long day.
Tip- A great place to watch the fireworks is the Kohl’s parking lot. There’s a decent view, traffic is easy, and it’s not loud. And if you get there “too early” you can go to Wendy’s and grab a frosty.
Want a shorter experience? The Silver Knights have fireworks after every Friday game. It’s a shorter display and its a bit quieter (traffic is definitely better), but if you want a similar experience- baseball, fireworks, popcorn… The Friday game is great way to do it.
Manchester
Manchester hosts their fireworks on the 3rd. Get in all the firework displays you can!
