Yesterday, my husband and I had the pleasure of seeing a show at the Nashua Center for the Arts. A big name was coming through, so we got a babysitter and made our way to Main Street.
If you’ve never had the chance, walking down our Main Street is a charming experience. The buildings are beautiful and the river is calming. If you have the chance, just take a stroll.
Tips for Main Street:
Go to Martha’s for a cheaper bite to eat. Sandwiches are $16-20. They are so good and their fries are amazing. For a cheaper treat- join their beer of the month club. It’s $10, and you get a free beer a month, and an extra at the end of the year- 2 visits and you break even. They have a rotating list of their own brews, and I’ve never heard a complaint about them.
The Center for the Arts was very clean and though we sat off to the side (gotta save money somehow), we had a great view. Drinks were a little pricy- a 16oz can was $10, but overall, the concessions weren’t bad. We saw cotton candy, pretzels, uncrustables, and veggie straws. If we didn’t go out to dinner first, I would have been happy with my options.
Tips for Nashua Center for the Arts:
Go to the roof! There’s also a quieter entrance near Fortin Gage, if you’re coming from the Elm Street garage.
Have fun and I hope to see you at the next show!
Note- I am not sponsored by Martha’s or the Performing Arts Center. They did not ask me to promote this. I just went out for a night and thought I would share.
